Voicemail Comedy from My Brother Jon (note-don't tell him he is on the Internet or he won't leave me any more funny voice mails)
1. Dan or Daniel as he's changed his name, erased Jon's first comment proving that it doesn't have to be vast to be a right wing conspiracy.
2. The message makes Jon look bad ONLY because out of context it's not funny at all. And out of temporal context, down to the half hour in which it was left, it loses even more value. It was a joke that's been aired incompletely and could only possibly work in the short period in which it was left. We're talking a joke with a 50 minute shelf life due to comedic complexities that I...I mean Jon can't go into right here.
3. In conclusion, the message has been stripped from the bone and out of context has no comedic value. I'm disappointed at Dan for letting it be played in its current version. Jon and I have never, NEVER played any of the video from his Ted Nugent cover band show that I have on tape, because Dan says the audio on the older VHS makes them look like they weren't as good as they were, but DANIEL, if the separation from your real name "Dan" is allowed to continue, feels that he can steal the soul from a message that was only funny for a period of about 10 minutes and only as it followed two messages that Dan left for me and for Jon.
4. I'm not as satisfied as I thought I would be...(I'm pausing as I look around the room for ideas...)so I'm going to share with the Dan Harper blogging community that, uh, sorry sweetheart, but that ain't Dan's real hair.
