From Wikipedia, Theocon is a term sometimes used in United States political rhetoric to describe a person whose conservative ideology includes a belief that religion should play a major role in forming public policy. Remember this is the same Bill Moyers who was forced to apologize after he characterized evangelicals Christians as the kind of people who wanted environmental destruction because it would hasten the arrival of a Messianic era. He attributed these thoughts to former Interior Secretary James Watt.
